First 18 months of treatments: smooth sailing. Then the infusion reactions started. They are starting earlier in the infusion and lasting longer after the infusion. It's scary, but we are trying to keep on top of it with anti inflammatory meds.

My doctor recently switched me from pravastatin to simvastatin, since - despite weight loss and adding regular exercise and fish oil - my total cholesterol levels began to rise again. One supplement you should always take if you are on any of the statin drugs is Coenzyme Q10, as statins can deplete this nutrient from your body and cause muscle damage and worse. I am not convinced that the Remicade was the cause of my getting the mersa infectious cyst inside my Larynx and there is no proof that it is connected in why I suddenly had Liver Cancer. Both have been treated and (kidney removed) and I would really like to go back on the Remicade, but my doctors say NO. My latest issue is now Pancreatitis (I have been off of the Remicade for 1 year and 3 months. So I don't think it relates to it either.
