I take 2g per day for pseudotumor cerebri, so I know that is a lot. Diamox has helped my high pressure headaches and helped keep most of the PTC symptoms at bay, however, it does have some issues of its own. Before I began taking a potassium supplement, my energy level was greatly decreased, my blood pressure was EXTREMELY low (about 86/50) on a regular basis and I would experience leg cramps as well as stabbing pains in both my feet and my hands. they have given me shackey hands,have caused hair loss and after over 20years of taking them they keep me awake and i only take them as the side effects of stopping this drug causes panick attacks and is horrendous,my doctor has now said they have to go But i have to do this in two weeks! But she will then replace them with an up to date drug!

I experienced paranoia, horrible panic attacks, a sense of dread and nightmares, Never experienced anything like this. I thought I was losing my mind. This began around the 4th day on the meds and lasted for several months. I was worried I would never be myself again! I don't recommend this to anyone!
