Before taking Topamax I had about 3-4 serious migraines a month--nausea, sensitivity, etc--and almost daily minor ones. Since taking it I hardly get the daily migraines and I only still get about one migraine a month due to my menstrual cycle. I have lost over 10 lbs on the drug (I am now 98-100lbs depending at 5'3") but my doctor doesn't think this isn't a major concern. I am luckily a very fast responder to Prozac. When we need to adjust the dosage, I notice a difference within a day or 2. Take it in the morning or it might keep you up at night!

My child was given an adult dose every 28 days for 9 months and now has Osteopenia, low D levels (22) and several other bone issues that have made her disable. There are no doctors that will validate that the overdose cased her problems. She was a very active, normal child before this happen. Stay AWAY from this drug at all cost!!
