I will never know what happened to me. But, for years I complained about anxiety and nervousness. But, my Endocrinologist have dismissed my symptoms. Finally, after nine years and learnign about Armour Thyroid, my depression and fatigue are pretty much gone. The anxiety has gotten better. But, I truly believe Synthroid helped to harm my central nervous system somehow.

Unfortunately, I have only recently started to recearch this medication and it's side effects. At first I thought effxor xr was the best thing that ever happened to me, but after taking it for 2 plus years I wish it was never prescribed to me. Everyone is different, I know, but so many people, me included, experience terrible side effects from missing ONE dose. My doctor told me that I am experiencing withdrawal symptoms. Six weeks with a Chinese MD acupucturist/herbalist drastically reduced my rapid heart rate, shakes and in general improved symptoms. If you can find a good Chinese-trained one, try acupuncture. Its not a cure but may be good for symptom control. Research at Harvard has shown it is effective for womens hormone problems and back pain.

I'm a runner and within 2 days of taking I had all my endurance and energy zapped. I was dizzy and it continued for months even after taking. I am now anemic and I feel all my problems started with this meds. I took it for 3 days and then a year later tried it again because my doc said it couldn't have been xyzal that caused my issues. Needless to say it did and I am still dealing with fatigue and anemia.

When I got into a car accident as a 78 year old man I felt in alot of pain, and I didnt know how i would get better, the doctor perscribed me this and I felt so happy and so much better. I broke my sternum, and i was in alot of pain, This drug helped me sleep and helped me with all my pain.
