i was advised to take the drug two weeks before my period. i am on my 16th day of my period, i have experienced headaches, bodyaches, hotflashes, nausea, vomiting and of course long periods. i have been hospitalized, the Drs did a blood test, cat scan, pap, ultra and found nothing. i had discussed my concerns and changes i was experiencing after the pill but they all say it cant be the pill as the pill is suppose to help with the period. on the 5th i go for a biopsy. my life is miserable. i k... I have had excellent success with cipralex, treating anxiety and depression. Ive been on it for almost three years. In the past year i have noticed some symptoms which i suspect is the drug. The symptoms are loose stool, mild nausea, intermittent sleep issues amd weight gain of about 10 lbs. i need at least 8 hrs of sleep at night and do not have the same energy as i had before. The doctor prescribed me the wrong amount and I ended up getting severe diarrhea and upset stomach, so i think thats why I had those severe side effects it messed up my stomach for a while.

I DO NOT recommend tri-sprinted. I changed from Loestrin 1/20 to tri-sprintec this summer (July09) and have had recurrent yeast infections ever since then. I have also gained tons of weight since starting to take this pill. I am changing pills today.
