I am on day 8 of prevpac for h pylori gastritis. Diarrhea, strange taste in mouth and dry mouth started from day 1, but they did not bother me so much. From day 6 I started stomachache and severe fatigue, tachycardia. I am wondering whether I should stop the med. I learned that in Japan this same combination of medications are prescribed only for 7 days as the standard treatment for h pylori and there is much higher incidence of h pylori infection in Japan. After I found out I had allegies my doctor tried a variety of different medicines but none seemed to work. After giving me Zyrtec I felt the relief within an hour. The watery eyes and itchy feelings went away and it felt great to be back to normal.

I was considering Accutane for cycstic acne, but thought the blood tests, joint pain and peeling lips side effects were a bit much. This was a last resort recommended by the dermo I was regularly seeing, and I am pleased with it. I've been using it for several years for acne on my face and occasionally on my back as well. Takes a while to have an effect, which is rough. But for me, once it did I just felt normal. I don't feel different, "high," "flat," or anything else. I just am not depressed - which is wonderful. It also had the unexpected side effect of greatly reducing my fear of flying.
