I had been taking Zyrtec for about 5 years and before that was taking an older form of Allegra. As many allergy sufferers know, these and all allergy medications only work for a short amount of time before your body becomes immune to the effects. I can honestly say after three months of Xyzal, I have been symptom free since day one. Sublingual is a terrible idea for this medicine. It tasted terrible and made my tongue numb. 15 minutes after taking it I became completely drugged out (in a stupor) and had to be taken to bed immediately. Slept 12 hours straight in a deep sleep, but snored heavily and gasped for air all night long. That was my first and last time taking this medicine.
