Last year while I had the H1N1 virus (didn't know it was the virus at the time, I had it prior to all the publicity) I was taking Zicam to relieve the sinus congestion that I had. I may have taken it a little longer than prescribed because what I had was not going away, nasty flu. Anyway I did get better but I have lost my sense of smell! It's been over a year now and it still has not come back.

I use metofrmin in combination with glyburide, otherwise it won't work. Metformin for me cannot work alone. Right now, I can't take it because I don't have glyburide, so i use Diabenese instead.

I too am hyperthyroid. I was prescribed carbimazole and had an allergic reaction with a skin rash which erupted within days. I then was prescribed PTU, propylithouacil which I initially took at a very high dosage, namely 12 tablets/day and after several weeks lost my taste completely and had bad headaches. My consultant reduced the dosage to two/day after 2 months as I had gone underactive. I gradually regained my taste but then developed pains in my arms so bad I couldn't sleep on my sides... As I said before, I used this medication for my back pain, and it really worked, it relieved my back and helped me having a better sleep time. I really appreciated it. But I had to use it in combinayion with paracetamol.

I had to take morphine before my surgery. It gave me extreme stomach pain. I had horrible mental clarity, bad memomry, made ma sick, and I became allergic to it.

I've been on Retin-A before and didn't have much success, but I was recently put on it again and have been a lot more successful with it. No real complaints minus the fact that it does not clear up old scarring.
