For the first year that I was taking Yaz it was great - regular and much lighter periods, zero cramps, zero PMS. It was really wonderful considering I used to have very heavy and irregular periods, extremely horrible cramps, and pretty bad PMS (irritability, mood changes, bloating, fatigue, appetite increase, etc.). Yaz made that all disappear. I swore by it, I really did. But recently, just within the past couple months, I have spotting ALL THE TIME (sometimes like a full on period in the m... View full comment

Follow up to my original post: After the sixth week of taking the Zyflamend, and no return of the rosacea, I called my doctor, and the upshot is that he didn't think that it's being a COX2 inhibitor was a problem in and of itself (Vioxx was a unique problem), and said that he couldn't find Z., on the FDA's watch list, so I should feel free to experiment with no worries that he could predict. BTW. I just noticed that I forgot to say that throughout this experiment, I continued the topical an... View full comment

Isotretinoin is a nightmare, if you are thinking of taking it DONT! 3 years after go off the drug my bones still creak every time i climb a step, my liver is still recovering and more recently I have been diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism. I was 26 when I started the medication; I had lived with acne most of my live but just could not bear it any more as I felt embarrassed going to work or making presentations. I was place on isotreinoin but only stay on it for 3 months before stopping, my ski... View full comment
