Even at the highest recommended dose, it doesn't work a full 24 hours. It does cause extreme drowsiness about 30 minutes to an hour after taking, so I take mine at bedtime. It is also quite expensive if you don't have insurance.

I was diagnosed with a stomach virus and was prescribed this by my doctor. So far, I have had no real complaints besides the slight dizziness and the pain in the stomach. It helped my nausea, but I wouldn't go so far as to say it really worked that well overall.

My doctor prescribed this medication to me when I was 16. My skin was at a point where it was starting to break out a little. When I started doxycycline, I would get extremely nauseated to the point where I would vomit. I then decided that instead of taking it in the mornings, it would be best to take it after my evening meal. It worked out great. I like that this is a multivitamin all packed into one. I was experiencing symptoms of iron and vitamin K deficiencies, and this has helped to alleviate many of those symptoms. I also just feel generally more healthy. It's nice to know I am at least coming close to necessary daily levels of vitamins and minerals!
