My original dosing was only once a day, but around mid-afternoon I felt horrible and my symptoms were worse than ever. My psychiatrist switched me to one in the early morning and one in afternoon and, ever since, the change has been ridiculous. My allergies improved however the drug would make me drowsy sometimes mild sometimes strong. the drug also affected my sleep, i would have nightmares.difficulty sleeping i dont sleep that much anymore.i stopped it for a while but my lack of sleep continued, i'm not satisfied with the drug but it is the drug that helps. I would talk to your doctor about Lexapro. I tried cymbalta for a few months and had really bad side effects. I did gain a few pounds but it wasnt very noticeable. The main problem I had was that it made me very lethargic and I could barely function on a day to day basis. I am taking Lexapro now and I love it. I have had no side effects whatsoever and if anything it has curbed my appetite.
