Hi, 17 year old female here. I started taking Accutane 40 mg, 1 pill, every morning with breakfast about a month and a half ago, and it is working great! My skin already is smoother, softer, and less acne covered. But I am still left with the scars from my Jr. High years. For the first week or so of treatment hell yes it was awful! Started taking 10 milligrams and had a lot of strong symptoms, wasn't able to sleep at night, had an extremely dry mouth, and experienced constipation. It also caused a rapid heartbeat until a pacemaker was put in. Now doctors have reduced dosage to 1 milligram daily and side effects have decreased.
