I have struggled with frequent bouts of insomnia since high schools. I've tried almost every prescription sleep aid on the market with less than positive results. I take the 5 mg pill a half hour before bed and I sleep pretty well; almost the whole night through.

I take Loestrin mainly as birth control rather than to relieve irregular periods. It's been an effective birth control but it can give me occasional cramping and abdominal pains.
