My mom is 82yrs old and has alzheimers. She is in a nursing home and was given Ativan after she fell in the middle of the night. She had a bad reaction to this med in the hospital and wasn't supposed to take it. Now it is 5 days later and her memory is WAY worse. Can this have long term effects?

I've been on many of the meds for Anxiety/stress...Zoloft, Effexor, Lexapro....All with about the same side effects, Lexapro with the least. I was given samples of Pritiq about 10 days ago and these past 10 days have been pretty wierd. I haven't had the urge, nor have I been able to force myself, to do anything. I feel like I can barely lift my arms. Been pretty nauseated. My anxiety is pretty much gone, but so is my personality. I'm switching back to Lexapro. The reason I switched over... View full comment

I have pretty bad anxiety/OCD and Pristiq doesn't really help me with that. Maybe a little, but not much. I don't feel depressed taking it. Noticed my hair is falling out a little faster since I started taking Pristiq, but I'm a guy in his late 20's and it was already an issue, just not to the extent it is now. I have been taking quasense for over a year and love it!!!! I skip the placebo pills every 3 months and go straight to the reg pills so I do spot a little every few months, but its better than bleeding for days and having all the other symptoms that go along with a crappy period.... My only complaint is that even the generic is expensive! Walmart has sprintec (generic ortho-tricyclen) for $9 and I pay over $100 for quasense every 3 months.
