Shortly after starting a short course of this medication I starting having irregular (skipped) heartbeats upon light exertion. It took me two weeks to put two and two together and I have now stopped the medication. I have had irregular heartbeats in the past but they had not bothered me for several years. I was prescribed prednisone for two months to help with colitis. I developed Avascular Necrosis of the hips within 12 months due to this drug. I needed to have my hips replaced at age 31. They said it is a rare side effect, but it isn't rare enough.

I have been coughing frequently and violently for approximately 10 years now. I used Flovent for several years and it has not stopped my cough at all. IAt my insestence I was recently given samples of Advair 250mcg from my pulmonologist. He did not believe it would stop my coughing.
