I am a 42 year old woman who suffers with heavy periods and have done for most of my life! I recently started taking Norethisterone to help with my periods, which has helped. I suffer with anemia due to heavy periods, so regularly take Ferrous Sulphate, however this upsets my stomach and makes me feel ill, so I try and take the liquid form which combines Vit C with the Iron. zoloft was a grear drug I felt wonderful but i had to stop taking it or I'd be 400 lbs by now. Caused SEVERE weight gain.

So far so good. It is a very easy drug to take. Doesnt cause any nausea/vomiting for me. I like the fact that I have to take it well before eating anything for the day and that I have to take it with a lot of water. This helps me take in a lot of water in the beginning of the day. I dislike that I have to take this for the rest of my life or else my symptoms would come back. But then again, of all drugs, this one is very mild and I have not had any adverse reactions since taking it. So better... View full comment

Please don't start Agomelatine with these side-effects in your mind. Wait and see what it does for you. everybody reacts different and it could be the right one for you! I think, if you you have psychosomatic problems that you can definetely "talk" yourself also into not having a benefit from A., because you read a lot of stuff you didn't like to hear and now you fear you might react the same. Basically, it help with muscle relaxation, but drowsiness is an issue and therefore don't have to drive or operate machinery while taking this medication
