My experience with Rebif has been a short, but pleasant one. I have had none of the usual symptoms that those who take Rebif may have. The only thing that I don't like about Rebif is the fact that they are in injection form.

My doctor recommended Lantus. It is more expensive and less effective than the NPH I was taking. I was on 2 injections per day before Lanus. Now I have to take short acting insulin before each mean and Lantus before bed. I feel like a pin cushion and my blood sugars are no better. Taking the extra insulin has caused weight gain. Doxycycyline Hyclate cleared my skin up great. However, not sure if caused by this drug or not, I got very drowsie while on it and had several incidences of nearly falling asleep while driving, very unusual for me. Then one day I did fall asleep at the wheel while going around a corner, hit the the curb. Luckily no one, including me, hurt but ripped my trye to shreds, wrecked the tyre rim and just missed a lampost!!!! Beware.

I did not expect to bleed for 2weeks and 4days. The cramps were intense, and lasted for 2days. The intial bleeding was horrific, i never expected to bleed so heavily in such a short period of time. You definitely need to be prepared. The inital nausea wasn't that bad.

I find that my appetite is HUGE if I am off by just an hour of taking my meds. My weight has increase 20 pounds on this med. I get horrible night sweats and insomnia. I"m lucky to be able to sleep more than 4 hours at a stretch. I haven't changed meds because I've moved and haven't found a new doc.
