Your situation appears similar to mine. I had been taking Avapro (AKA Irbesartan) 150mg 2x daily which was doing the job. Then my drug insurer refused to cover it. Losartan was suggested as an alternative so I began that. I was on 50mg 2x daily which seemed to work; that was in 2012. I moved to a new state in 2012 and changed doctors. Occasionally i feel a tingly feeling on my lip and as soon as i apply aciclovir it removes the fever blister before it becomes large and painful. I was very impressed with the results because before i used to have to wait for a week and a half for it to clear on its own but now i don't even have to wait for it to appear.

I couldn't have asked for a better med. I had tried a couple of other meds whose side effects were too bothersome and by far Lamicatal has been the best. I don't feel sedated, I've experienced almost no side effects, and I feel in control and level headed. I was very sleepy when I first started taking it but that didn't last long.
