I take the drug as prescribed other than when I have bouts of sleeplessness or twitchiness at night. When this happens I stop taking the medication for a few days/weeks to reduce it in my system and then start it again.

My blood pressure was so high that I thought I was going to have to go to the E.R.. Atenolol has definittely helped but it also makes me sick to my stomach

I agree with Eammon that when I first started Amisulpride it was like a dream, but as I continued to take it my side effects have increased at an alarming rate. I sleep less than 7 hours each night, I am restless, agitated, have high blood pressure, frequently urinate during the night, unable to concentrate, poor memory, more manic, etc. I was on olanzapine , which was making me too drowsy and the weight gain was worse. it makes me bruise and bleed very easily. i usually dont have a lot of problems with it. the only time i have a problem is when i cut myself while i work on the cars i fix. also if i bump into something even slightly a bruise starts forming easily.
