Terrible drug. I always felt like I was going to faint. Made it almost impossible to drive a car or function at work. Fell quite a few times due to dizziness. I would not recommend this drug. I never had high blood pressure to begin with, not sure why the Dr insisted that I take this drug. It was 120/70 which I always thought was normal. When taking lisinopril my pressure was 90/50 which I think was too low and why I was dizzy and fainting. I've changed doctors and seen a cardiologist and bot... View full comment

I thought it was the heat dehydrating me, humid weather causing arthritis flare-ups, menopause symptoms coming back, all at once. And maybe even something wrong with my thyroid medicine (a bad batch or needing a dosage increase) But symptom got worse when we went away from the heat on vacation.Towards end of our vacation my husband insisted I stop taking it and I immediately began to feel better. well before i started this method of birth control i was taking the depo and i gain about 20 pounds,now that i have gotten off that and tried junel method i haven't had any side effects yet and i've been on it for three months now,but by reading everyones comments makes me scared,but so far i like it

I was taking it to assist with weight loss and took it for about 45 days or more until I noticed the side effects of constipation (which I do not normally have) and gas. I have stopped taking it about 4 days ago, once I researched the side effects. I was trying to determine why I was having the abdominal problems. It is not painfull constipation but very infrequent. However my appetite was decreasing while taking the 5HTP. I am now trying to get it oujt of my system.
