I tend to get headaches a lot and the Advil really helps alleviate the pain. I normally take 2 tabs every 3 days and it works well for me.

I've never been a huge fan of Tylenol, so I switched to Ibuprofen and I have found that is more effective than other brands and also fast-acting.

I am on day 11 of 14 days and feel sick most of the time. If it gets rid of the rather resistant infection I suppose its worth it but I do feel depressed, probably because it's not a lot of fun to feel sick.

I suffer from horrible headaches. I also get tension headaches and migraines. I take preventative medication (topamax) for my migraines but sometimes I still get one here and there. When I do get a bad migraine I usually take maxalt, but when it is not available to me I stick to what work has always worked in the past and that is ibuprofen. For the typical bad headache or tension headache, 600 or 800 mg of Ibuprofen just knocks the headache right out so I do not have to repeat the dose later... View full comment

Changing to this synthetic analogue, described to me as "the greatest thing for Type 1 diabetics" by my diabetic team was a decision I now deeply regret. The side effects were extremely debilitating - extreme fatigue, memory loss, joint & muscle pain, feeling as if I was in a foggy toxic state all the time despite good HBA1c results. Whenever I would get food poisoning I would take domstal (domperidone) and the vomiting would stop immediately. However, if I missed a dose the effect would wear out. You need to continue the dose as prescribed otherwise the nausea will return like it did for me.
