Advair helps control asthma and heaviness in the chest all day long. The container is too bulky and annoying to use. it should be more slim.

Drug was helpful in the short-term (6 months); decided to quit with a quick 6-week taper 3 years ago because of weight gain, loss of motivation for virtually any activity, and overwhelming feeling of physical malaise; experienced truly horrific withdrawal symptoms (see www.paxilprogress.org for others' experiences) had to go back on drug; have now completed 1st year in what will be a 2-year taper off this drug. Stay far away from this drug; there are much better options out there for you.

Zyrtec

I used to take claritin for allergies but once zyrtec was placed over the counter I started using it. I have allergies to animals, pollen, and other outdoor things and Zyrtec works for all of them. It also works much quicker than claritin so I can take it on an as needed basis- although during the spring and fall I normal have to take it every day. I relieves itchy water eyes, sneezing, itchy nose and throat, and prevents congestion. Its worked great and I would recommend it for allergies!

I have seasonal allergies that triggers my asthma. In order to control the allergies my doctor recommended Claritin. One day after taking a dose I was fine and it definately cures symptoms. The second day I took another dose the same time on an empty stomach and experienced crazy blurred vision in specific spots in my eyes. I got really nervous but within 20 mins it went away. I looked on the internet and a pilot had a similar exp. Did this happen to anyone else? I'm scared to take another... View full comment

I was never prescribed this drug, but my boyfriend was. I took it occasionally while writing my thesis. I call them "focus pills", since the effect of one will allow me to focus on my studies for 8-10 hours without taking a break. The mind is really clear while experiencing the effect of this drug, but the feeling is addictive. I almost got hooked on them, which is particularly dangerous if you don't have a prescription.
