I am taking Proscar (finasteride) in its non-prescribed use as a hair loss drug. After taking it for 6 months, I have seen an effective stop to my hair loss, and an increase in the density of my hair in the front. it works great 3 years I have been on it and I am not pregnant! The only down side is the weight gain and a change in emotions, it makes you a little more sensitive.
