it works great 3 years I have been on it and I am not pregnant! The only down side is the weight gain and a change in emotions, it makes you a little more sensitive.

I had my tubes tied back in 1990 and within the last 6-8 years started having lower back pain due to a tilted uterus, and some cramping and my ob/gyn suggested getting on birth control. Since I've been on Kariva, it has taken care of these 2 problems.

One of the side effects of birth control pills is abnormal vaginal bleeding. That could mean anything from spotting for a day or two to practically being on your period all the time. You may just be experiencing this because it is your first month, and your body hasn't had time to adjust to the new hormones. If I don't have atleast 10 hour sleep at night after taking Minipress XL 2.5 mg, then I don't get strength on my feet to move around coupled with slight head imbalance making the total feeling uncomfortable. Moreover, since the time I have started taking this medicine my eyesight power has gone up considerably. I use metofrmin in combination with glyburide, otherwise it won't work. Metformin for me cannot work alone. Right now, I can't take it because I don't have glyburide, so i use Diabenese instead.
