This was the last treatment prescribed after calcium blockers swelled my lower extremities and had ghout after my other treatments. . I felt better with bendroflurazide but after gout which I had been prone to (my first attack at 18 after a glass of port!) My GP would not prescribe again for me. But my blood pressure was down to 135 with benfdrofuazide. Which I would prefer to go back to and put up with the severe pain of GOUT!! Once you are on it, you can reduce the dosage. But it is difficult to come completely off it, however I was successful coming off it for a couple of years. It is hard to wean yourself off of paxil. It really helps with panic.

was on monopril for over 15 years. Must have become immuned because my pressure was not controled any more. Doctor put me on it 3 months ago and my pressure is best it has been.
