I am a Dane, 31 years old, female, and been taking Keppra for about 3 months. It is the only antiepileptic drug I have been taking, and I have not been taking it with other kinds of medication. My dosis started with 500mg twice a day, for two days, and then it was lowered (due to vertigo) to 250mg twice a day. Alprazolam is the finest and most effective BZD for anxiety and panic on the market and also the ONLY benzodiazepine (of the triazolo- class) recommended for people with a history of depression. I have been taking the 40 mg for many years now and in the past 3 months I was told to take another 40 mg and to split it in half so that I am taking 60 mg. I did not like this as much because I would feel more comfortable taking a 60 mg pill, but since they do not make that I will see if this help my level get back in place.

Six weeks with a Chinese MD acupucturist/herbalist drastically reduced my rapid heart rate, shakes and in general improved symptoms. If you can find a good Chinese-trained one, try acupuncture. Its not a cure but may be good for symptom control. Research at Harvard has shown it is effective for womens hormone problems and back pain.

I am currently expiriencing severe back problems and it's a dilemma. The M.D prescribed (Morphine Sulfate) which is used to treat agonizing pain.
