prilosec otc worked fairly well for me. i'm not having stomach pains & heartburn as i was before. the only things i really noticed are i take the pill in the morning everyday. by the time it is the next morning, i feel the pain again until i take the pill. i'm hoping after the 14 day treatment that this does not occur because i will not be able to take the pills anymore. it is my 7th day on the pill & i've expierienced a piercing, stabbing headache in the back of my head & behind... I have no option but to take prednisone but it has destroyed the skin on my legs and it is now paper-thin. I have numerous bruises and am prone to skin-tearing and as a resukt, cellulitis. Prednisone also caused severe cataracts which almost cost me my eye-sight, it has weakened my bones, and elevated my heart beat.

During the winter my hair tends to fall out while im taking this medication. I have been taking this medication since I was born and I have seen good results according to my bloodwork. I get my bloodwork done every 6 months and the only part I don't like is when they take my blood. Other than that I am very satisfied with this medication because the last time I went to the doctor's I gained 5-6 pounds !!! I was very happy about this !
