My 15 year old son has ADHD. He has been on numerous stimulants over the years as well as Strattera. The stimulants caused decreased weight and appetitie and increased frustration. While they helped with focus, the tradeoffs were difficult. He currently is on Vyvanse 50 mg daily and began Intuniv 1mg three weeks ago and has titrated up to 3 mg. Ugh. Within 2 months I had gained almost 10 pounds, felt bloated most of the time, experienced moderate menstrual cramps (I don't usually get them) and started getting migraines the first full day of my period. Not to mention, I spotted the whole time I was on the pill. It's month six and I am switching!!!

Singulair

I am very satisfied with Singulair. I have had no complications with it and I am able to take all of my other medications with no adverse side effects. I am confident that my asthma has improved and the use of my emergency inhaler has been greatly decreased to almost not needing it. I would be very sick without the use of Singulair.

As a physician, I've fielded numerous complaints from my patients indicating Proair was not an effective rescue inhaler. AS a result, I no longer prescribe it. Suffering from reactive airway disease (RADs) myself, I need to use an inhaler on occassion, and was given Proair recently. It just doesn't work. Period. My concern is this - how many lives have been put in jeopardy by patients desparate for relief of acute symptoms, and finding no reiief w/ the use of Proari in an emergent setting?
