Took melatonin 300 mg for 4 nights. Excellent sleep first 2 nights; Unremarkable sleep 3rd night; vivid dreams and "drugged" feeling 4th night. Strange body odor and taste in mouth. 5th day, strange stomach distention (very mild gas), slight dizziness, grogginess. I have Hashimoto's so perhaps melatonin is contraindicted for daily use. Will continue to use occasionally for insomnia, but not more than 2 nights a week.

Having taken clonazepam approx; for six years (chronic pain). April 2004 I underwent surgery for a spinalcord stimulator implant, which was very successful. Phenergan with codeine was prescribed to me when I had an upper respiratory infection (a cold). I had a very bad cough and bad congestion. I only took it at night because it had a significant drowsiness effect on me. I had to take more than the recommended amount to notice an effect on my cough- and I didn't feel like it was much more effective than over the counter products- except for putting me to sleep. I have had imbalance for about 6 months now, the doctor referred me to a neurologist but there is a two month waiting list here, I couldn't walk without holding onto walls and furniture and very rarely could I go outside and I walk with a stick, but I also have hypermobility.
