I took one Zylfamend PM (only half the recommended dosage). I felt better the next day in terms of noticeably less body aches and less fatigue. I knew beforehand that ginger and turmeric are very "heating" herbs and will throw my ying/yang off balance. As expected, I had dry mouth for two nights (need to keep waking up to drink water or suck a lozenge in my mouth all night), and pimples popped out. Prednisone

Took it for 6 months starting with a high dosage to treat pericarditis. I kept to a strict diet and only gained 5 lbs during the 6 months but the other side effects were awful. Developed severe joint pain from head to toe and had leg and foot cramps. I would wake at night in terrible pain that was awful enough to leave me crying. My thyroid lvls were low so doctor prescribed this to me 25 mg. once a day. I noticed a weight gain immediately, headaches, severe joint pain, my throat felt swollen or like a lump was in it and overall negative effects. I had a hysterectomy the same month the doctor prescribed this so I am unsure if its the levothyroid or effects of no hormones...maybe a little of both.
