The best form of birth control medication I have ever tried. The only thing that I don't like is having to remember to take it everyday. I tried Nuva Ring for a few months, but I had an allergic reaction. I switched back to Ortho Tri-Cyclen lo, and it has been great ever since. My cramps hardly exist, my periods are short with a very light flow, and my mood swings are under control.

I was originally prescribed pills that only contained 0.030 mg of synthetic estrogen for extremely painful cramps (and also hoped that they would help control some of my bad acne). I experienced some breast tenderness, and the acne hardly cleared as we had hoped. I was soon switched to MonoNessa, which has 0.035 mg of the estrogen in it, and I think it has worked wonderfully. It is making my hair fall out. I didn't know what was causing it at first, but I've narrowed it down. My hair is so thin now. I'm hoping it will grow back now that I've discontinued it. If anybody else has had this problem, please let me know, and let me know if your hair grew back. Thanks.

After 7 open heart surgeries I had to take prednisone. The hunger and mood swings associated with this drug were awful. I gained a lot of weight, especially in my face. I also had diabetes while on the medication. But they say the medicine has its purpose.
