Lyrica is ok for treating anxiety conditions like GAD. It works well but the confusion/dizziness at dosage above 300mg per day can be a problem. It does not have many gastrointestinal side effects but I find that it irritates a long term gastritis problem of mine. Lyrica is a good alternative for those who cant tolerate conventional antidepressants or those who would like to avoid the use of benzodiazipines. It sucks! This drug did a great job helping my depression, but at a huge cost to my health. I've been suffering severe nausea, vomiting, super-sensitivity to smells and dizziness. I take gravol to stave off the nausea - but gravol makes me so tired! At the end of the day I was a prisoner in my own home because I refuse to drive if I'm dizzy & on gravol.
