I too am hyperthyroid. I was prescribed carbimazole and had an allergic reaction with a skin rash which erupted within days. I then was prescribed PTU, propylithouacil which I initially took at a very high dosage, namely 12 tablets/day and after several weeks lost my taste completely and had bad headaches. My consultant reduced the dosage to two/day after 2 months as I had gone underactive. I gradually regained my taste but then developed pains in my arms so bad I couldn't sleep on my sides... Cymbalta has done wonders for my fibromyalgia. Lyrica and Savella made me so sick I was throwing up! They did nothing for my pain either. Not Cymbalta, though. It has made me virtually pain free! It has also helped balance out my bipolar II symptoms; especially the depression. Another added benefit included fewer and much milder PMS symptoms. Cymbalta is definitely the drug of choice for me...and no side effects!

took ambien initail by itself but it did not help me fall asleep. I started to take it with two other medicines that were ativan and trileptal. these only worked when I took all three together to fall asleep

When I was diagnosed with UC in December 09 and was prescribed Asacol and a restricted diet, it took a while to get back on my feet and normal again. I was afraid to start eating again, but slowly starting putting foods back in. There are some I can never eat again, but that's okay. My weight returned and I am stronger and healthier than before. I don't like the "thinning/lossing" hair, but I manage.

I got a bacterial infection during my finals week and had over a 103 degree fever and wasn't eating at all. After taking the first dose of the z-pak I felt 100 times better by the next evening and was eating again with no fever

I had taken Marax in the mid 70s and as a 16 year old "in charge" of her medication, I probably took more than prescribed and suffered severe anxiety attacks. Sometimes so debilitating, I wanted to jump out of my skin. Then I would crash and thought I was going to die.
