I was taking it to assist with weight loss and took it for about 45 days or more until I noticed the side effects of constipation (which I do not normally have) and gas. I have stopped taking it about 4 days ago, once I researched the side effects. I was trying to determine why I was having the abdominal problems. It is not painfull constipation but very infrequent. However my appetite was decreasing while taking the 5HTP. I am now trying to get it oujt of my system.

i have a chronic rash that I can't determine what it is being caused by and wonder if the Bitter Orange is the cause. The rash actually began before I started taking bitter orange and I've attributed the rash to 2 other things, Sucralose (splenda) and my hormones, both of which I have stopped. I realize that any medication or supplement can cause an allergic reaction, but if I were allergic to BO, wouldn't I have other symptoms, not just the rash?

I have used NuvaRing for over 3 years and the onlly side effect I had was loss of sex drive. I loved being able to control my periods with it and not having to remember a pill everyday. That being said, after 3 years on it I started having severe lower abdominal pain. I originally thought it was a cyst but then the pain migrated throughout my whole pelvic area. I was prescribed levofloxacin to relieve my UTI. I was getting ready for a trip when the symptoms started, so I really hoping that it would work quickly. It didn't meet my expectations in that regard and I did experience some side effects, but in the end it got rid of it, so I am satisfied with it.

Hey, I am starting to think about the side-effects of Depakine in the long term - the slowdown of brain fucntion, hair-loss, later kidney and liver demage and concentration. I am only 28 now, was 25 at the first episode. And I am really aware of the long-term slowdown of the brain.
