Taking this drug made me very ill, after 5 weeks of taking it with no apparent side effects and being pleased to have given up smoking I suddenly started to find my legs shaky, in the next 6 weeks the side effects increased, I experienced severe panic attacks, constant shaking and muscle spasms, muscle weakness, pain in my joints and heart palpatations, to name only a few. I am on day 8 of prevpac for h pylori gastritis. Diarrhea, strange taste in mouth and dry mouth started from day 1, but they did not bother me so much. From day 6 I started stomachache and severe fatigue, tachycardia. I am wondering whether I should stop the med. I learned that in Japan this same combination of medications are prescribed only for 7 days as the standard treatment for h pylori and there is much higher incidence of h pylori infection in Japan.
